THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER
In a field one summer's day a grasshopper was hoping about, chirping and singing to its heart content. an ant passed by, by carrying an ear of corn he was taking to yhe nest.
'why not come and chat me," said the grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that why?"
"i am helping to lay up food for the winter," said the ant,"and recommended yo do the same."
"why bother about winter?" said the grasshopper,"we have planty of food at present". but the ant went on its way and countinued its toil. whwn the winter came the grasshopper hand no food, and found he was dying of hunger, while it was thw ants distributing everyday corn and grain from the store they had collected in the summer.
